SOC Juniors

Southampton Orienteering Club [SOC] encourages youngsters of all ages to try orienteering, and to progress in the sport.  Attractive 'string courses' are provided at all 'Badge', and most 'Colour Coded' events for the very young.  Entry fees for juniors in all SOC 'Colour Coded' events are held below cost [currently only £1.00].  Youngsters competing on easiest [WHITE and YELLOW] courses are allowed to mark up their maps before the start time, free from competitive pressure.

SOC supports the South Central Junior Squad [SCJS] which trains promising junior orienteers within the region, to achieve a high standard both personally and when running for the region at events such as the Junior Inter-Regional Championships.  Visit the SCJS website for more details, including details of forthcoming SCJS training days.

Whatever your age and experience at orienteering, you can be sure of a friendly welcome and all the advice and support you need at SOC events.
