Harvester Relays Sun 30th June Longmoor Camp Anyone Interested?

BAOC are hosting the Harvester Relays at Longmoor on Sunday the 30th June.

The relay is run mainly during the night with starts just after midnight. The later runs will carry on into daylight.

Teams of 7 or 5 are required.

At the moment I have 3 club members interested in running.

If you are interested in forming part of a SOC Team please let me know ASAP.

The Harvester Relays 2013 Sunday 30thJune 2013Longmoor, HampshireThe Event:The Harvester is an overnight relay competition for teams of 5 or 7 competitors and isbased on similar events in Scandinavia such as the Tio Mila and Jukola. Teams of 7compete on the A course whilst teams of 5 compete on the B course. The first leg Acourse competitors will start just after midnight on Sunday 30th June 2013 with thefirst leg B course competitors starting about 0130hrs.This event is a Level B event with full details contained in British OrienteeringCompetition Rule K.Event centre:The event centre and campsite are at Longmoor Hampshire; this is within theLongmoor military trainingarea at grid SU793307.Access to the event centre is just off the end of the A325 where it joins the A3 at grid SU792310.No additional fees will be levied for car parking or camping.Terrain:Longmoor is a distinct area of heathland, mature woo dland and a military trainingarea with many man-made features.Classes:Course Laps Class CommentA 7 Men’s Premier OpenA 7 Handicap Teams of mixed sex and ageA 7 Small Club Small is defined by competitive record.
