Chandler's Ford Trails

David Currie

Line (3.8km/6.2km/8.3km)

Three courses chosen, not for their navigational challenge, but because they visit some of the nice pockets of woodland around the north end of Chandler's Ford. The start/finish is at the SW corner of the tennis courts by The Hilt (where there is free parking) but the courses have the option enabled to start at any control if you live in the area.

All courses cross roads so younger juniors must be accompanied. Please keep to the paths in the woodland areas. Hocombe Mead and Flexford often have a small number of cows in during the summer months so please ensure you close any gates behind you. The cows are pretty docile but have a habit of occupying the paths!

Note that the Long course is largely the same as the Medium but with an extension on the end that involves a bit of road running to reach Hiltingbury Lakes. Course lengths are as the crow flies so expect to run ~5km for the Short and ~10km for the Long (given an optimal route choice!).
