The second activity in our MapRun League 2023 is now open. You can run the course any time between Friday 28th April and 11th May. However, if you would like to meet up with other runners please come to the start at 6.30 pm on 11th May or if you would just like to attend the social come along at 7.30 pm to the Willow Tree pub in Winchester. If you missed the first league event, Colin Stride's excellent MapRun around Oliver's Battery, don't forget that all MapRuns in the league will be available for you to run for another year but it will not count towards the league if the date of the social has passed.

Entries are now open on Racesignup for the club's first Summer Series event of 2023, to be held at Stoke Park Woods, Bishopstoke, on Sunday 7th May. There will be three courses on offer: a Yellow, Orange, and Score, with the Score including a few controls in the surrounding urban area. The event will use the free MapRun app for punching, scoring, and results, but otherwise will run like a normal event (you'll be issued with a map and there will be controls hung). Help will be available for anyone new to orienteering. The plan is to offer entry on the day but we do have a competitor limit so enter in advance if you want to avoid disappointment!
