Jon Wheatcroft, Chair of the South Central Orienteering Association has written a newsletter covering a number of news items which include the recent Senior Home Internationals, the 2023 Southern Championships, news about the Junior Squad and the British Championships, which our region is staging in March, where your help would be very much appreciated.

Disappointing to see that the officials for the the individual Senior Home International event ie the November Classic were not worthy of mention in the Newsletter.

SOC Event Long Beech 19.2.23

Entries are now open on racesignup.co.uk for the regional event on Long Beech in the New Forest ,near Fritham. This is our first level C event for some while and as always we can't run it without the help of our SOC member volunteers. If you are able to help as well as run please contact me on helenamandaaa [at] gmail.com (helenamandaaa[at]gmail[dot]com) and let me know if you have a preference for a particular volunteer role. I will then send you the SOC discount code, so you can sign up for a half price run and maybe have the opportunity to gain your first ranking points of the year.
