At the Club and Association Conference last October, Regional Associations were asked to identify a Regional Volunteer Champion. The broad role as to provide support to clubs and disseminate best practice on how to organise, recruit and support volunteers.

Champion volunteer development and recognition in the region

Share best practice on volunteer support, development and coordination

Work with Club Volunteer Coordinators to support recruitment, development and deployment of volunteers

Support Volunteer Coordinators to facilitate the development of ambitious volunteers

Encourage nominations for national volunteer awards

Provide feedback on views and needs of clubs and regions to the appropriate Development Steering Group member
