Regional Volunteer Champion

At the Club and Association Conference last October, Regional Associations were asked to identify a Regional Volunteer Champion. The broad role as to provide support to clubs and disseminate best practice on how to organise, recruit and support volunteers.

Regional Volunteer Champion Role Description

  • Champion volunteer development and recognition in the region

  • Share best practice on volunteer support, development and coordination

  • Work with Club Volunteer Coordinators to support recruitment, development and deployment of volunteers

  • Support Volunteer Coordinators to facilitate the development of ambitious volunteers

  • Encourage nominations for national volunteer awards

  • Provide feedback on views and needs of clubs and regions to the appropriate Development Steering Group member
