Come race at IBM Hursley on Saturday 4th June

Next Saturday sees the 5th event in the Solent Summer Series. By kind permission of IBM we are in the glorious Hursley Park. The 1:4000 map has been updated following our recent mapping course and we are all set for a great event.

The normal range of courses is on offer:

We have a 2.1km Yellow suitable for young children, families and beginners.

The next step us is the 2.7km Orange course. This one is great for those with some experience. Children under 14 competing on this course must be accompanied by an adult as we have some road crossings.

The top course will be the 3.9km Light Green. Again under 14s must be accompanied. With an eye on the British Orienteering Sprint Championships on Saturday 11th June, this course will provide some great sprint training. The map scale is the same as for the champs. OK its not a sprint spec course but it promises to be fast and furious.

You might be wondering if full leg cover is required? Not for the Yellow. But both the Orange and Light Green have some woodland legs and a few stinging nettles!

We're really looking forward to seeing you there. More details on the event page.
