SCOA is looking to recruit more Tutors and Assessors – mainly to help teach and assess our new coaches but also to use these skills with Planners & Organisers as we move towards Licencing Organisers and later, Planners.
If you are either a teacher or have Assessing experience in NVQs – or both!, why not consider using these skills in Orienteering? You do not need to be a Coach / Organiser/ Planner or even be aspiring to become one of these – you just need the above skills and some time (of your choosing), to do the task. If you are interested, please get in touch with Liz Yeadon, SCOA Coaching Officer (liz.yeadon [at] btinternet.com (liz[dot]yeadon[at]btinternet[dot]com)). Liz can then talk through with you what is involved, and help you decide if you want to go ahead.Â
If you already have one of the two basic qualifications/ experience, all that is needed is a one day refresher to bring you up to speed with the requirements of the British Orienteering Assessments/ tutoring.
