Does West Wood, Netley mean Royal Victoria Country Park? Is the car parking in RVCP?

No. West Wood is about a mile north-west of RVCP. Coming from Netley you turn right at the T-junction at the end of Station Road rather than left to RVCP. There is a public car park on the edge of the woods off Weston Parade, just before you get to the open area.
