Simon Bevan is putting on a night, street O from the Waterloo Arms in Fremantle. Starting at 7 - 7:30 pm it's a 60 minute score on an Open Orienteering Map (stick map). Controls are lampposts and worth 10 points each. 5 points penalty for each minute over the hour. Bring a torch or headlamp, a bag for your non-waterproof map and a pen or pencil to note down the lamppost numbers. Oh, and a watch because you'll be timing yourself!

It's free and afterwards there's a free sandwich buffet in the pub (also open to non-runners!)

The next issue of SOCK is due out in January so could I have all articles, photos, results, reports or interesting stories to me by Friday 8th January please!Â
This issue will cover from mid-October including Compass Sport Cup and the November Classic, all through the christmas events up to the beginning of January.Â
I would especially like to encourage any juniors to try writing an article, it doesn't have to be very long at all and it would be great to get a younger perspective!Â
